ClairezTravels’ Scottish Antur Escape

Meet Antur adventurer Claire

If you're dreaming of your next escape, take a leaf out of Claire’s book. She recently took her Antur jeans across the wilds of Scotland and Norway. Putting them through their paces on coastal trails, countryside walks and rambles. Here’s a breakdown of her favourite spots in Scotland, plus a few local tips if you're planning your own trip.

🏡 Shannobank Cottage
A scenic hilltop base in Abbey St Bathans. Think uninterrupted views, sheep-dotted hills, and walking routes right from the door. You're 15 minutes from the coast and around an hour from Edinburgh. Ideal for short breaks with a big sense of escape.

💧 Elba Waterfall
Tucked away near Abbey St Bathans, Elba Falls is a hidden gem. Only a short 10-minute walk from the roadside parking, and recently voted one of the top 5 waterfall spots in Scotland. Go early to beat the crowds and pack a camera.

🏖️ Thorntonloch Beach
Quiet, stunning beach, with dunes and sandy stretches perfect for a morning stroll or sunset wander. There’s parking by the caravan park and usually few people even on sunny days.

🍕 Dunbar
A bustling harbour town with great food stops. Pop into Black Agnes for seafood, or grab a pizza at Hectors. Plus lots of great options for a quick coffee overlooking the seaport.

🌊 St Abb’s Head National Nature Reserve
A dramatic clifftop walk with views out across the North Sea. Home to seabird colonies and perfect for a half-day adventure. The loop from the car park to the lighthouse and back takes around 1.5–2 hours with plenty of photo stops.

Hopefully this small taster gives you some inspiration to get outside and explore :)
